My question to people who own an internet home business is, what is allowing someone to put a link up on your web site worth to you? We all know the importance to web sites to have links pointing to them, the more links the better. Having links from sites in the same category as yours makes it even better, but that is something to discuss for another day. I am looking for a way to promote my new product and one of the easy ways  that I am  looking at is to give my product, 1,023 Easy Steps to Change Your Life….In Less Than 4 minutes a Day :) away for free as a promotion.

I have to be careful, it will not be free, what I want in exchange for the product is for internet home business owners, those that have a web site, to put up a link for the product on their page. What i really want is for these people to become affiliates for the product, giving them the product for free is a way to get them to try the product for free, and since they already have a link up, to stay on as an affiliate. I find that too many  affiliate programs require the people to buy the product first then become an affiliate. I always found that to be a bit short sighted .

I believe it’s a win win situation for everybody, the internet home business owner gets access to a product that will have a profoundly positive impact on their  life, and at the same time, for free, they get to be an affiliate for a product that has universal appeal and will be of value to virtually every person who visits their web site. I am working out the details but it will be pretty simple, people who see my site, will see the offer, all they have to do is set up a link on their site from one of our stock affiliate ads, once that is set up, we ship them over their free copy of our product.

As  has been pointed out to me about 1,000 times in the last few days, all someone has to do is  set up a link, wait for the product and then when the product arrives, take  down the link. That is the risk I suppose I am willing to take. There is always a down side to anything, in this case, the downside is fairly steep, I have no assurance that the link will stay up. I have always taken the approach that it is better to have a program like this, with a down side that  will attract those who are just looking for something for free, but in the process attract some of the other quality  people who  may not of been  interested if it were not for the opportunity they have to try the product for free.

Owning an internet home business is a grind, making money is not an easy thing to do, for any of us, I am hoping to make that difficult process a little easier with this product. The internet is defiantly   a numbers  game, get the numbers on your side, with the right product, the right marketing, and the world is at your finger tips. I have always looked at the affiliate marketing industry and been shocked and amazed at how stupid some of these guys are. What is it with some of  them, offering a commission share of 10%, 20 % for information products that cost the owner pennies to produce, that kind of thinking never made sense to me.

I am looking at a commission share of some where in the 60% and up range. My thinking is simple in this area, EVER penny I receive from an affiliate site is 100% profit. It’s 100% profit from the standpoint that I would never of received  that sale, if it were not for  that affiliate. If some internet home business owner in Aberdeen Scotland did not put my affiliate link on their site, I would never of received a sale from some person visiting that site from anywhere in the world. That  is what I mean as 100% profit.

This is an exciting time for me, working on this product has re kindled my enthusiasm  for working on the internet. For a long time I basically ignored the affiliate marketing concept, at least as it pertained to me. After ignoring it for so long, its ironic that this is the very area of the internet that suits my skill set and experience the most.
