A Quick Course On Prioritizing For Internet Home Business Seakers
To make the most of your Internet Home Business, learning how to prioritize and separate what is unimportant from what really matters is an invaluable lesson to learn.
“ What we love to do, we find time to do” John L. Spalding
Love what you do, hopefully that means running your Internet Home Business, never work a day in your life is the dream of most Internet Home Business owners. . I am not surewhat the statistics are in regards to people who actually do what they love for a living, but my guess is very low, well under 5 % of the workforce, probably well under that 5 % . if you are in that 5 %, you have my congratulations, I hope you know how fortunate you are.
Where does that leave the rest of us? More importantly, what can we draw from this quote?
- First and foremost, regardless of what we end up doing, its important to realize that we are always in a constant struggle between doing what we should be doing, and everything else. This is the epic battle between doing what we should of spent some time on prioritizing, and then basically competing with the rest of the world for the time we need to perform our priorities and the competition for what’s left over.
- Change the words in this quote to read, what we should be doing, we need to find the time to do it in and then stand firm. Its going to be a tug of war between what we know we should be doing and the constant barrage of things, people, interruptions and even ourselves to throw us off course.
- Prioritizing means establishing what is going to give us the best return on our investment of our resources. What is left to do is now act on those priorities.
What does someone do when they are in a position that they know what has to be done and they do not fall into that position that they are not in the fortunate 5% who love what they do?
Good question. This is one of those times when reality rears its ugly head and you have to look as positively as possible at your situation. Finding time for what we love to do comes down to doing what we need to do, as quickly and as efficiently as possible and in doing so, we will have as much time left over to do the things that make our hearts sing.
One last comment, what drew me to this quote was the reference to finding time. We find time for what is important to us, that importance does not necessarily mean we have to love what we are doing, it could mean that we need to do it for whatever reason and our job is to make sure we find the time necessary to make it happen.
That in a nut shell is what prioritizing is all about, determine what is really important, then making sure you have the commitment, the drive and the fortitude to make sure your find the time to get it done.
