Want To Change Your Life? It’s Decision Time
Wanting to change your life is a natural process; we always want to improve, get better at what we do, change our occupation, improve our lives financially, and at the end of all of these changes, we want to be a happier person. I need to start this off with a statement, one that I can make with almost total certainty:
If you really want to change your life, you need to start deleting the activities and actions you are currently doing to make way for the new activities associated with whatever you are planning to take on.
This step is what stops many people from getting to where they want to be. Before you can start on the new, you need to eliminate some of the old. Failure to take this crucial step will almost certainly prevent you from being successful in your new endeavors. Let’s take this as our example: you have decided to start an internet home business, you have picked the one for you and you are looking at starting your new business on Monday morning.
What happens on Monday morning? More specifically, what happens to what you would have been doing on Monday morning if you had not decided to start your new internet business opportunity? You are headed for a collision, you have only a certain amount of time available to you on Monday morning, and you have at least 2 competing different factions looking to use only 1 block of time. You can see the dilemma you are going to be in, you have 10 pounds of activities and you only have a 5 pound sack of time to put it in, who gets in the sack and who gets left out in the cold?
How you decide to invest your time decides what you are going to accomplish, and more importantly, what does not get even attempted. In your process to decide what internet business opportunity you may want to start, you need to start to look at what you are currently doing and start to decide what will have to be eliminated to make way for the new business obligations. Its all about time; you only have so much of it. What is going to be lucky and have you invest this critically important non-renewable resource on it.
I have never met you, but I can make a fairly certain statement about you and your use of time. First, unless you start to chop some of the drains on your time that you currently have, there will be no room for a new drain, namely the business you are thinking about starting. Unless you are that rare individual that wakes up every week with 20 absolutely free vacant hours that are begging to be filled, you will need to free up those 20 hours for your new business.
Secondly, I can also guess that you have spent very little, if any, time on thinking about the ramifications of your new business on your availability of the amount of time you can spend on it. You currently have a busy schedule, you are currently using up all of your existing time. Based on this likely scenario, where is the new internet home business going to fit in?
Something to specifically think about:
- How full is your current schedule? Are you the one person in thousands that actually has empty vacant time on their hands for a new internet business? Decide where you fit into this equation; are you jammed up right now, or do you actually have spare empty blocks of time on a weekly basis that you can just fill up with the new business?
- Okay, if you are one of the lucky ones that has spare time, you can just skip this section and I wish you the best of luck in your business, for the rest of us, including me, we have some decisions to make.
- Even before we think about slotting in our new business, there is something that we need to do, we need to take a look at what else we want to do, and have not been able to do , BEFORE we think about adding a new business to our list. If you do not have some sort of ongoing list that gives you an idea of what you are doing now and would like to do, I strongly suggest you start a living life list as soon as possible.
- Before you think that the way to change your life is to start a new activity, you may want to review what you have wanted to do up to this point in your life. What have you wanted to do but have not been able to start because of a lack of available time? We all have a list, whether its written or not, the point is, deep down inside we all have things we would like to do, some minor, clean out the garage, some major, a trip to some special destination
- You need to look at what you already have on deck, what you already want to do, and then start to weigh those existing activities and goals against your new goal, starting a new internet business.
I hope this gave you some food for thought. If you want to change your life, you want to be sure you pick the right vehicle to do it with. Start the process by weighing what you already have on your living life list and making sure that there is not already something there that may deserve your investment of time more than a new venture, like a new business.
Have a great day, see you tomorrow.
